COMMENTS   I've been raising purebred Hereford cattle for about 15 years and these are the kind that I pictured all along. They're good to look at, functional in their build, they're good milking cows with a good udder, and they'll go out and forage and calve on their own. All of this and at weaning time, they'll bring something to the table, all with a 1,200-pound mature cow size. They're low maintenance cattle that get it done without all the extra inputs and fuss.
