5/28/23 BLACK HEREFORD RANCH'S CREAM OF THE CROP STEER SALE

It’s never too late to find a Cream of the Crop champion at Black Hereford Ranch. Like the Reserve Grand at the 2023 Rio Grande Valley show. He was bought in our 2022 mid June online sale. This was the 6th time we have sold the Grand or Reserve Grand at this very competitive 300 head steer show.  
   

This year marks the 20th time that BHR/COC steers or our genetics have been named Grand or Reserve at the prestigious Houston Livestock Show. Twelve times with COC steers and, 8 more times with BHR/COC genetics. This years 2023 Houston Grand Champion steer had BHR/COC power in the blood, his Grand mother was a BHR/COC HooDoo Charolais cow that Brian Martin had in his donor arsenal. Our COC steers have won Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, Odessa, OKC and, the Rio Grande Valley not once but numerous times over the years.
   

This powerful good set of calves are not left overs, most came in late and were green and have now blossomed and are ready to compete at the Highest level! Hope you can make a trip to Crawford to get a look at them. If you are thinking your barn is full well, I’m betting you would make room for more if you saw this excellent group.
