Breeding Information;  Heifers ran with Matt Lautner Simplify Clone from May 1 to July 15.  Then following that a Hereford Belle Air son that we use a lot on heifers.  Because of the drought, these heifers were ultrasound pregnancy detected a little later than ideal, so exact due date could be off slightly.  The cows pregged to their AI date with 90% certainty, and are cleaned up with either High Tide of Open Bar Cattle of Texas, or our $17,000 Cream of the Crop purchase Thunder Road, owned with Brandon Fizer.  Every one of these females that does not sell will stay in our herd.  Because of the drought and our commitment to a Fall-born embryo program, something has to go.  Those that don't sell in this sale we will keep, and haul something not as good off after calving.  There are 4 Purebred Angus heifers in this sale, they were bred by Larson Angus of Sharon Springs, KS.  We purchased them to raise some Maine-Angus females for us, and to give us steer calves that had a great chance of winning carcass shows at those county fairs that have those.  Call Val at 785-821-1010 if you have questions.  We number cows in such a way that the first number is the year they were born, example 408 was born in 2014, 625 was born in 2016, and 109 was born in 2021.  

 

Hauling:  We will take off on a route on the afternoon of December 18 to the Amarillo Area, On the 19th, we will head east to Oklahoma City and then to Wilburton area.  We will head north through Tulsa, then back home through Kansas on the 20th.  Delivery on this trip is free if purchase was over $3000 a head, or $50 if below that.  We will work with you on other delivery options if you need those.  

 

Pickup is expected to be done by December 20th.  We reserve the right to charge $5 per day feed after the 20th.
